Bonjour!
For quite some time now, I have literally been in love with all things French...more specifically, french women...
If you know me in 'real life', you may be like..."Really? I never knew..." (
Je vous assure, le c'est vrai!)
That is because it's kind of a closet obsession for me as opposed to a scream it from the rooftops kinda thing.
So, today, right here in this post (as well as a few subsequent posts since this will indubitably take way too long to write in one sitting), I would like to come out of the closet a little bit (hehe)...and share with you just a few of the
many reasons why I love...
Le Français.
French women are self-possessed.
"Throughout her life, she invests herself in learning and experiencing, not to change who she is, but to become more fundamentally and more fully who she truly is." "Because she is sure of who she is on the inside, she naturally, inevitably, appears sure of herself on the outside." - Debra Ollivier

French women think before they speak.
French women use discretion and mind their own business.
French women live
in the moment...they do not multitask, they do not take short cuts.

French women prefer quality over quantity. Take their style for instance; they do not own what they do not love. Also, she does not buy what she cannot afford.
Could we not learn a thing or two from the french woman?

The perfect black dress

(Though Audrey Hepburn was not french, I don't think that anyone can deny that this was the perfect black dress)
The perfect white blouse
The perfect pullover.
The perfect overcoat.
Okay wow...that wasn't even THAT much information and I am already wiped out from writing...let's just call this the STYLE chapter of my favorite things about the french. So much more encompasses the french woman and the style that she possesses and while I would love to share as much as I possibly could, time does not allow me to.
Oui, je sais...very triste.
More to come on my french obsession but right now, la lessive (the laundry) and les enfants (the children) are calling!
Ahhhhhhhhh...C'est la vie.
