...in posts. I've been having some serious technical difficulties!
I still do not have a new USB cable for my camera so I am unable to post the lovely pics of all of the FAB yard sale goodies I got on Saturday! And I assure you...they were good-ies. LOVE. :)
As soon as I get the new cable (and crossing my fingers that is the problem and not the actual camera), I will catch you up!
Sunday night, we contracted a virus...the computer kind. I literally spent just about 3 hours on the phone yesterday with my anti-virus company. They ran scans and diagnostic tests only to tell me 3 hours later that in order for us to fix the problem, my husband and I would have to shell out $399.99 (yes the decimal point is, in fact, in the right place).
I.about.choked. For real? Who does that?! Needless to say, they did not fix our problem. They did, however, manage to stop those nasty
YOU ARE INFECTED pop-ups from happening so that we could get onto Comcast's website and install their
FREE anti-virus program.
Our computer is running again...thank the Lord.
I have to tell ya...our life was simpler when we didn't have a computer in our house. Since we got back up and running about a month ago, we've had STRESS!
~ Our monitor went so we bought a new monitor.
~ Our printer is not being recognized by our computer now so we have no way of printing anything.
~ Then the camera/USB thing
~...and finally a VIRUS.
UGH.UGH.UGH!
I am whining. Yes, I am. The fact is that in this day and age, the computer makes things SO CONVENIENT. And fun.
Yes, we survived without one (though we did make regular trips to my parents for the use of theirs) but honestly, it was a major hassle not having one at home.
And that is different from having one? Apparently not. :(
It is STILL a major hassle.
Catch-22 anyone?!
I say all that to say that I so apologize for my lack of posts...I haven't written here since last Wednesday! Almost a week ago - yikes!
And I have 4 new followers who I would like to welcome (Hi Cassandra, Lexie, Tracy and Crystal!) and especially apologize to...you're probably thinking...um...I am following...nothing. Ha! Sorry girls! I'll be back with regularity soon, I promise! :)
And speaking of regularity...
I began a whole new AZ Challenge...
take 345, 523, right Kim?!. I leave for AZ in 32 days and um...well, now I am in CRAM mode. I'm trying to eat...well, like nothing. Okay, not nothing...but very little. And exercise. And tan. And I've started this new tea called Triple Leaf Tea Ultra Slim which is an herbal tea to help promote cleansing and digestion...which basically means that you should never be very far from a bathroom.
Oh and I am also drinking 3 liters of water a day...which helps with the whole bathroom thing...um, or not.
So, that's been
super.awesome.
Eh hem.
My "meal plan" is to have an all fruit smoothie every am for breakfast. A salad for lunch. And then a light dinner - usually a Lean Cuisine type deal - not trying to promote these nor do I think that a regular diet of these would be all that healthy. However, for me, I feel like I need the portion control and low caloric intake. I am not to be trusted right now with small portions on my own. It's too easy to pick.
And I have picked a little bit. I did have a banana before bed the last couple of nights because I've been so hungry. I also did have a couple bites of a pizza I made for the kids yesterday and I did have a couple teeny bites of a Rice Krispy Treat. (now that THAT is off my chest - phew!)
My spirit is willing but my flesh is ridiculously weak...
I
HATE flesh. In the figurative sense (no pun intended).
So...It's been 2 days and I feel great!
OK. That is a lie.
I've been moody...okay, honestly, I've been straight up b****y (I am sorry if you are offended...sometimes, there are just no other words to describe a person's behavior than with slang). I am headachy and tired. Basically, I think that I am in withdrawal. I know that with any kind of "diet" program (HATE that word), withdrawal plays a role in the first couple of days. No amount of gum that I chew to keep hunger at bay is gonna help.
Believe me, I have tried.
I hope the withdrawal period is over soon. I will gladly say Sayonara.
Sorry again for lack of posts lately...I do hope to be back with more regularity...and less regularity soon! :)
That is totally inappropriate, I know...ha! Just what you guys wanna hear on this random Tuesday morning, right?! ;)
XO
P.S. 32 days til I get to hang out with these awesome people again...

I am SO EXCITED! :)
